This week on the week on the wrist series, we had the opportunity to try the Breitling Chronomat B13356. Check it out!
Breitling Chronomat
Cosmonaught’s, Aeronaught’s, Diver’s. Breitling has a pedigree, and the Chronomat B13356 does not fall short of living up to it.
Welcome to the “Week on the Wrist’ series where I wear a watch for one week to gauge the initial reaction and inspect those finer details which one can easily overlook or not necessarily notice during that honeymoon period of purchasing a watch.
To set the premise, my wrist is 17cm in circumference; a little on the smaller side. As this came with a leather strap, adjustment was easy.
My initial reaction to seeing this timepiece was, to be quite honest, busy.
However, when understanding that, every piece of the face has purposes and meaning, one tends to understand.
It sits nicely on the wrist with a 39mm case. Whilst also, not sitting very proud on the wrist, despite the 17.1mm thick case. Gold accents, enveloping the dial help to subdue the size. I did end up putting this on a Delugs CTS Rubber strap as the leather strap was quite firm, and, the rubber strap works nicely, whilst fitting the curvature or many wrist sizes.
I did not have any problems with fingerprints showing on this, however, the crystal can show more marks than other watches. This may also have been me being conscious of this.
The watch people in my circle were all over this. Great size, comfortable, durable, wither every function possibly needed. Time is clear, so this even appealed to my Dad.
Very comfortable in the office due to the size, without feeling as if I was going to snag, or hit this upon anything, unlike some extra large watches.
And so we come to the weekend, the real test.
Easy as pie, this watch was no trouble at all. At no point during my Chessington adventure, or my Surrey dog walks, did I feel that I was worried to wear this piece.
Final Thoughts
Could you one-man-band this watch? Easily.
With timeless style, and a zesty drop of gold, it shows class, clarity, and cohesion. More function on a timepiece that one would ever really need.
